Abou Jaoude & Associates received the prestigious Lebanon Law Firm of the Year award at the IFLR Middle East Awards 2023 ceremony held in Dubai, marking our third win since 2019.
The esteemed IFLR Awards recognize outstanding and innovative legal work, and the firms and lawyers who have gone above and beyond in their fields, based on independent market research into the Middle East’s top cross-border corporate and finance transactions.
IFLR commended the Firm as the recipient of the national award for Lebanon, stating: “Abou Jaoude & Associates closed several noteworthy transactions against a challenging market environment. The firm navigated complex Central Bank regulatory approvals to support Credit Suisse Lebanon in its exit from the Lebanese market. The team undertook pioneering work in the energy sector, advising Qatar Energy on a first-of-its-kind E&P agreement and Total Energies in relation to the country’s first solar power purchase agreements.”
Abou Jaoude & Associates was shortlisted for ‘Lebanon Law Firm of the Year’ along with four other Lebanese law firms. Other deserving winners include prominent international law firms Clifford Chance, Allen & Overy, and Freshfields, as well as regional powerhouse Al Tamimi & Company.
This achievement is a tribute to our positive perseverance while Lebanon continues to witness turbulent times. It is also a testament to our clients’ trust which fuels our unwavering commitment to excellence, and for which we are grateful.
Partner Souraya Machnouk received the award on behalf of Abou Jaoude & Associates. The full list of winners can be seen here.
